Ksyen Regional Hospital opened November 24, 2024, replacing Mills Memorial. The 82-bed hospital serves Terrace and the broader northwest — including communities connected along Highway 16 and beyond, from Prince Rupert to Smithers, and reaching Haida Gwaii, Stewart, Dease Lake, and Stuart Lake.
Local chemotherapy and expanded acute care are delivered here in Terrace. Radiation therapy and certain specialist oncology appointments continue to be provided in Prince George — a reality that means regular travel for many patients in this region.

Opened in November 2012, BC Cancer – Prince George was the first site in northern BC to offer radiation therapy. It provides radiation, chemotherapy, counselling, and nutrition services, with two linear accelerators on site. The centre sits on Lheidli T'enneh traditional territory, adjacent to the University Hospital of Northern BC.
